About Us

Jon Kinsey, M.S., L.M.H.C., Owner/Director

It has been over 25 years that Jon has conducted foster and adoption home studies. His humble beginnings into the world of home studies was when he was asked to open a Therapeutic Foster Care Agency for the local community mental health care agency where Jon was employed. The foster care program was named PATH.

That was 1998, and since that time Jon has opened a Therapeutic Foster Care Agency in Orlando, a Girls Therapeutic Group Home in Crestview, a Christian Counseling Agency – DeFuniak Springs Counseling Center and Adopt Florida Home Studies.

Since 2003 Jon has conducted over 600 foster and adoption home studies with families living from Miami to Pensacola, Florida and all in-between. A bonus has been to conduct home studies for foreign adoptions from Russia, Siberia, China, India, Africa, S. America, and the Ukraine. Most of these adoptions required up to three years post placement supervision, so Jon has made many enduring relationships with families across Florida.

Leina Lunghi, M.S., L.P.C., Home Study Counselor

Leina Lunghi has worked with Adopt Florida as a home study counselor since 2012. She is a licensed professional counselor in two states. She loves working with the clients and learning their individual stories. As an adoptee with two children of her own, she is passionate about adoption.

The guiding purpose of Adopt Florida Home Studies is to provide professional, fast, and affordable pre-adoption home studies and post-placement reports for families that desire to open their hearts and their homes to adopt a child to raise as future Christian leaders.

Our Mission

Our Mission Statement is best summarized by the Apostles Creed: I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; And in Jesus Christ his only son our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried, the third day He arose from the dead; He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from hence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church (1), the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.

The Purpose and Mission of Adopt Florida Home Studies is to honor God and our Savior Jesus Christ in word and deed by providing the highest quality service possible with Honesty, Integrity and Love.
